There are many reasons why people forget the visions that God has given them. One common reason is the cares of this world. We can become so involved in many things that our focus shifts from what God has laid in our hearts to the things happening around us. In our opening verse, God told Habakkuk to write the vision on tablets of stone. Anything you do to preserve the reality of what God told you as you journey through life is worth doing. You may even have to set time apart periodically to go back to the promises and instructions, and look at them again, meditate on them, and pray. Making it plain is a continuous practice: reminding yourself of the vision, why you are doing what you are doing, and thereby receiving grace to continue. Pray this prayer: Lord, help me to stay focused. Keep my eyes on you always.
