Yesterday, we spoke about the necessity of a suitable heart for the word of God to grow. The next question to ask is, “how do I make my heart a good heart?” Apart from the fact that you must be born again, the next step is to be a person of prayer. In the place of prayer, the Holy Spirit works on your heart and makes it ready for the word of God. Also, you prepare your heart by intentionally deciding to be simple and not complicated. Look at our opening verse. Understanding comes to those who are open and not finding fault with everything. Will you open your heart to the simplicity of the gospel of Jesus or will you fight it by being difficult? Declare: Jesus my heart is open and simple before you!
