The title of our devotional today may sound like good advice:
“Follow God’s Plan.” One might think that everyone should desire to follow God’s plan. However, l’ve discovered that many times, men are tempted to believe they know what they are doing. This was the undoing of the first man, Adam. The serpent made him think that there was some knowledge God was hiding from him by asking him not to eat the forbidden fruit in the garden of Eden (Genesis 3:1-19). The Devil, that old serpent, has no new tricks. He still deceives men to follow their own way, leading to their own destruction. No wonder the Bible is replete with instructions such as Jeremiah 10:23: “O LORD, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in man who walks to direct his steps.” Say after me: “Lord, help me follow Your plan.
May I not be wise in my own eyes. In Jesus’ name, amen!
