FIGHT A GOOD FIGHT

1 Timothy 1:18 : ...according to the prophecies which went before on thee, that thou by them mightest war a good warfare;

God has spoken many great things about your life, but it may seem as though everything, except what God has said concerning you, is happening. This is because prophecies are not self-fulfilling. In the journey of the Israelites to the promised land, they encountered a King named Sihon, the Amorite. God had already informed them that he had given both the king and his land to them, yet he instructed them to contend for it in battle (Deuteronomy 2:24). There is an erroneous belief that just because God has said something, it will automatically happen. The Bible, many times, shows us otherwise. God requires our partnership for his plans to be fulfilled. This teaches us that we must not simply hear prophecies and then go to sleep; instead, we must take action and hold on in faith to see them fulfilled. Repeat after me: I will not let go of prophecy. I will fight the good fight of faith.
