One of the major reasons people become lukewarm spiritually is because of familiarity. Many times after people have made some progress in their walk with Jesus, they “settle” and familiarity sets in. The things they once considered sacred, they now treat with levity. The virtues they once honoured, they now handle carelessly. Soon old habits they conquered, begin to show up and a downward spiral begins. Look at Apostle Paul in our opening verse: I count not myself to have attained, but this one thing i do, I forget those things which are behind and I reach forth to those things which are before me. Say after me I refuse to become familiar with my spiritual life in Jesus name, amen.
