Many years ago, Reverend Kenneth E. Hagin wrote an article on why people do not grow in grace. Interestingly, one of the reasons he mentioned was the “desire to be like others.” Of course, we ought to emulate the good virtues of those we look up to. Apostle Paul said, “Be ye followers of me.” However, that’s different from having an obsession to be like someone because you feel there’s nothing good about you. Some people go as far as wishing that their skin, nose, or body structure looks like someone else’s. Embrace your uniqueness!

There is a reason God made you the way you are! Don’t be like the servant who had one talent and hid it because he felt it Acts 7:1-30; Ezra 1-4was small. Do something with what you have. Don’t hide it. You destroy what you have because you feel it’s not grand. Make it grand. Say after me, “I will embrace my uniqueness!
