DO NOT WORRY

Philippians 4:6 : Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.

In the Bible, Jesus said in Luke 12:25, “Which of you by taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?” This statement by our Lord shows us the futility of worrying. He is saying that being anxious cannot produce change. In the next verse, he said, “If you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?” Jesus Christ considered adding to your height a small thing, yet it is something we cannot do! So, why worry? The power to attain what we want is not in worrying. Worrying happens when we set our hearts on earthly things. However, Jesus teaches us that we should seek His kingdom, and all the things that cause people to worry will be given to us as well! So, instead of spending time being anxious, why don’t we focus on the one who can change those situations? I always say, “If you can worry, then you can pray.” Rather than be anxious, pray, set your heart on the Lord, and you will be okay. Say after me: God takes care of me!
